Help with Google Consent Mode and Google services
Why to contact CookieHub first for Consent Mode issues, what the team covers, and what the built-in diagnostics detect.
If you're experiencing issues with Google Consent Mode, missing consent signals, or consent-related behaviour in Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics or Google Ads, contact CookieHub support first. The team handles Consent Mode implementation issues directly and resolves most of them without involving Google support.
What CookieHub supports
CookieHub provides implementation and troubleshooting support for:
- Google Consent Mode: configuration, default states, signal transmission and version upgrades
- Google Tag Manager: consent initialization, tag firing behaviour and consent state integration
- Google Analytics: consent signal delivery and consent-based data collection behaviour
- Google Ads: consent-dependent conversion tracking and remarketing signals
- Other Google services that rely on consent signals managed by CookieHub
Support scope is the implementation: how CookieHub initializes consent defaults and transmits consent signals, and how Google's tags behave in response. Questions about a Google product itself, such as reporting inside Google Analytics, are for Google.
Built-in diagnostics
CookieHub includes diagnostics that identify Consent Mode implementation issues on your website. The results appear in the Dashboard: open the domain and click the Action Center tab. The issues CookieHub can detect include:
- Missing consent signals
- Outdated or unsupported Consent Mode configurations
- Incorrect consent defaults
- Late consent initialization: consent signals initialized after Google tags had already started executing
- Tracking activity detected before consent signals were initialized
These diagnostics are about implementation quality, and most of what they find is an ordering problem: a Google tag executed before CookieHub had initialized the consent defaults. Consent Mode and late consent explains the causes and the fixes, and Consent Mode v2 signals shows how to see the signals CookieHub sends.
Contact support
If the Action Center flags a problem, or you're unsure how to read what it reports, email google@cookiehub.com with the domain and, where you can, the page and the tag concerned. Support is offered on all subscriptions, with the reply times in Support levels.
